Despite her team coming up short JerKaila Jordan (Tulane signee) dominated the game and was the LGR tournament MVP. After a great summer playing on the Under Armor circuit (Texas U) she really opened some of the top evaluators eyes. According to ESPN HoopGurlz she's a five star recruit and the number 45th ranked prospect in the nation. During the championship game she showcased her talent leading all scorers with 25 points and defended the best player on LaGrange (Jeriah Warren). Playing both ends of the court and making the game look easy. It was a pleasure to watch JerKaila in her last Sugar Bowl game and I'm looking forward to seeing her play for the green wave. Tulane really got a steal with this one!

Jeriah Warren - LaGrange
Class 2021 - PG
Jeriah has high major size and a skill set that any coach can fall in love with at the point guard position. While I believe Jerk got the best of her in the match up she never once backed down and continued to attack. As she continues to play at the highest level of basketball (AAU) her play will rise to another level and I'm really excited to see her game continue to grow. *Hopefully she plays the PG position this summer so the high major schools can see her for what position she truly plays.

Aasia Sam - LaGrange
Class 2021 - SG/SF
Aasia played the best I've seen her play in the championship game hitting several 3pt shots and taking people off the bounce using her size to finish around the rim! *She picked up an offer from McNeese this week to go along with three other mid major offers.
Amoura Graves - Ponchatoula
Class 2021
Amoura played well throughout the tournament showcasing her ability to stretch the floor and score inside on several combo moves. Playing AAU this past summer her game has gone to another level. Her offensive skill set and long frame has gained a lot of college interest over the past year. *She scored her 1,000 pt this week as a junior forward at the 5a level.

Jaylyn "Mini" James - STA
Class 2021
Jaylyn is normally the best athlete on the floor regardless who she's playing against and you combine that with her skill set she's always fun to watch and tough to stop! She has the ability to do things you just can't teach. Every time I've seen her play she's made me say "wow".

LGR's Gold Bracket - All Tournament
MVP
Taylor Bell - Huntington - Class 2021
Taylor came to our camp and I loved her versatility but she didn't seem 100% and I couldn't get a good evaluation. After this past weekend she earned my respect as well as everyone else that saw her play! She lead her team in nearly every stat category you can think of and each team she played knew you had to stop her! College coaches this is one you need to Photo Credit - Gregory Juan
check out, she's worth the time I can promise you!
Osha Cummings - Zachary
Class 2020
Osha (Northwestern State signee) showed up and showed out in the Sugar Bowl championship! Again this was the best I've seen her play as she was scoring from all three levels and flat out filling it up from beyond the arc. Once she picks up her consistency to another level NWST is going to love her ability to put points on the board!

Kiersten "Tootie" Nelson - Ursuline
Class 2020
In my opinion Tootie is the best 2020 still available in the state. She had three 15+ point 15+ rebound double doubles in the tournament! Her versatility and offensive skill set makes her a match up night mare. She can start the fast break off a defensive rebound, stretch the floor from behind the arch or bang in the paint with her back to the basket. *Has several D1 offers but is still wide open.

Taylor Wilkins - Mount Carmel Academy
Class 2021
Taylor's size at 5'10 for the guard / forward position immediately stands out on the basketball court. She can guard several position and can play several positions on offense. Taylor was a leader on the court in a comeback effort against Huntington despite her team coming up short to the champs. As she continues to improve her perimeter skill set and becomes more comfortable on wing at a high level, college coaches will fall in love with her size!

Kyrstin Green - Zachary
Class 2020
Kyrstin (Nicholls State signee) scoring mindset was a major reason Zachary competed in the Sugar Bowl championship. Although she just moved to Louisiana we've seen her a few times now and she has demonstrated the ability to score the ball quick fast and in a hurry. Kyrstin and teammate Osha will be the one two punch for Zachary. Once you combine them with the teams overall tough man to man defense they will be scary come playoff time as they compete for the 5a state title!
